We believe Art + Conversation does spark creativity. In these new (online-only) times, come join our personal conversation as we talk about art, influence, inspiration, and materials. See images and hear concepts that get us excited to paint. We may go off on a tangent, but sometimes that leads to the most creative path yet. Our own artwork, current artists, past artists, and special guests' work may be featured. Our project is evolving, so we welcome your comments and participation!

April 1 Sargent's Oil and Watercolor Influence

April 8 Zorn vs. Monet: Can a Limited Palette Out-paint an Unlimited One?

April 15 Love of Subject or of Painterly Process? (Adrienne Stein and Quang Ho)

April 22 The Importance of Making Good Decisions (Stephen Hartsell, MD)

April 29 Portraits and Figures in the Landscape (Scott Tallman Powers)

May 6 Training to Perform at the Highest Level (Chris Carlisle)

May 13 Design and Intent in the Golden Age of Illustration (Ted Reed)

A bit more about Scott and Christine: together we have painted plein air, seen art museums, and painted on the same studio canvas. (And now online together trying Zoom.) Come see what we talk about to dig deep into art concepts that get us inspired to paint. It will be unscripted. We may go off on a tangent, but sometimes that's what's needed to leave the conversation inspired.

There will be 20-30 minutes of conversation (with some screen share of art), and then we will answer questions from the audience regarding the topic discussed.

We wish you well in these difficult times, and hope you can join us in getting happily distracted by art.

Please note: Live access to the webinar is limited to the first 500 participants who log in the day of the meeting. Those who are registered but find the webinar full will be sent a recording of the talk afterwards.
